GROUP THERAPY PROGRAM

Group therapy is one of the cornerstones of MindWork Group.

Group therapy involves a small group of people coming together to discuss and work through their mental health concerns with the guidance of a trained therapist. Group therapy can be beneficial for individuals struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma

  • Substance Use Disorders

  • Relationship issues

  • Life transitions

  • Grief and loss

At MindWork Group there are several hours a day of programming including group therapy with expert therapists as well as individual therapy, art therapy, and family therapy. All of these services are delivered within our therapeutic community, where the healing power of connection can begin.

What are the benefits of group therapy?

  • Support and validation: Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences, feelings, and challenges with others who understand what they are going through. This can lead to feelings of validation and understanding.

  • Learning from others: Group therapy allows individuals to learn from the experiences and insights of others in the group, which can be beneficial in the process of personal growth and change.  Hearing the perspectives of others can help individuals see their own situations in a new light and gain new insights. Often people are able to see things in others before they are ready to tackle similar issues in themselves.

  • Increased social connections: Group therapy can help individuals build social connections and support systems that can be beneficial for their mental health. Often people have difficulties having close connections with other people.  The intimacy of a small therapeutic community can help people develop the capacity for life-enriching relationships.

  • Evidence-based: Group therapy has been extensively researched and has been shown to effectively treat a wide variety of  mental health conditions.

Small group therapy in a therapeutic community can be a hugely transformative experience.
