Learn about MindWork Group’s Consultation Services
People suffering from complex psychiatric or disabling psychological illnesses will often benefit from a comprehensive consultation with one of our experienced psychiatrists.
About our psychiatric consultations
A level 1 consultation is the typical way one begins as an outpatient at MindWork Group. For people seeking a deeper look, perhaps to help their current treatment team or as a prelude to more intensive treatment, the Level 2 consult is appropriate. While most people choose to spread the multiple meetings out over several days, this can be condensed for people who are coming in from out of town. Either consultation fee can be applied to the MindWork Intensive Program if one admits within 30 days of completing a consultation.
What you’ll get with a Level 1 Consultation:
Preliminary phone call
We will get in touch with your current therapist or psychiatrist to learn about your case and needs.
Initial 55 minute meeting followed by a 45 minute feedback session
May be extended by mutual agreement to several sessions (additional fee will apply)
*Note that the Consultation fee can be applied towards the cost of your Intensive Outpatient Treatment program at MindWork Group.
What you’ll get with a Level 2 Consultation:
Preliminary phone call
We will get in touch with your current treatment team to learn about your case and needs.
Review of patient provided records and history of medication trials
Initial 55 minute meeting followed by a 45 minute feedback session
45 minute family meeting
*Note that the Consultation fee can be applied towards the cost of your Intensive Outpatient Treatment program at MindWork Group.
A bit about Phase 1 of the MindWork Group Intensive Program:
This phase begins with an initial 2 week commitment to the program with daily attendance. We provide intensive evaluation, treatment and stabilization for people struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Beyond the initial 2 week commitment, phase 1 consists of four to five days of intensive outpatient treatment per week, which includes individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, occupational therapy, and other paths to healing, such as art and recreational therapies.
